Archery Training- L-Kee-Ta

Want to take your troop to camp and use the archery course?  Interested in teaching others how to participate in this growing sport? Become a trained archery facilitator!  Our facilitators are a talented group of people who lead specialized sessions at camp – for their own troops and at least once or twice a year for others. Let's Talk Trash

Here is your chance to find out what happens to your trash after it leaves your home. Watch garbage trucks pull onto the scale and then follow them as they unload all that trash. "I Am" Conference for Girls

Hosted by the WINGS women of Davenport West and the Junior League of the Quad Cities, the I AM Conference will educate young women (grades 5th to 12th) on worthwhile topics facing women and girls today, including peer pressure, body image, and women in the media. The conference will include a Davenport Girl Scout, Jasmine Babers as a keynote speaker among others and break-out sessions to discuss the issues they face most in their daily lives.

Jasmine Babers is the editor and founder of Love, Girls Magazine, a self-esteem magazine for girls by girls.

Daisies Night Out!

Come on Daisies, join us for a fun Friday night out! This two-hour program gives the youngest of the Scouts a small taste of what a camp-out is really like. Girl Scout Overnight

Hey Brownies and Juniors! Before school lets out for the summer, come have fun under the stars at Ushers Ferry. Learn a new skill, find your inner camp chef, take a nature hike and gather around a campfire. Juniors can earn their camping badge. A light breakfast will be served on Saturday morning. Teddy Bear Tea

PLEASE NOTE PRICE CHANGE FROM PRINTED LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE GUIDE.

Join us for a spot of tea! Bring your teddy bears and tea cups for an afternoon of tea and activities. Girls will decorate cookies, drink tea and juice, then go through the museum to make crafts and play games just like girls from the early 1900s.  You can also watch the movie, Meerkats at this event. GPS Marks the Spot

Explore camp in a new way by going “hunting” for geocaches! Girls will learn how to use GPS technology and use what they learned to go on an electronic scavenger hunt to find treasure throughout camp! Program Aide Training Overnight

THIS EVENT IS FULL.

When girls guide and teach others, they act as mentors. Girls will learn about the three keys to leadership, explore how the Girl Scout Leadership Experience relates to their everyday life and become inspired how to serve as a leader in the world. Cadettes will learn about girl development, how to manage groups, program activities and how to keep girls safe during activities. Pre-requisite: Completed at least one semester of sixth grade. This event will begin on May 18 at 9 a.m. and continue through May 19 at 9 a.m.

Night on Broadway

Night on Broadway is an annual fundraiser in the Quad Cities featuring the performances of local media personalities. New this year is a fantastic dinner and wine paring during a showcase of talent by the local Quad Cities media. Cocktails and silent auction starts at 5:30 p.m. with dinner and the entertainment starting at 6:30 p.m.

The proceeds benefit the new Girl Scouts Program Center in Rock Island, IL.
