Katniss Games

Love The Hunger Games? Can’t wait for Catching Fire in November? May the odds be ever in your favor as you compete in a gentler Girl Scout Service Unit 855 rendition of The Hunger Games with crafts and competitions that are like those in the book. It will NOT be a fight to the finish, but the winner will be the district which scores the highest points after the competition is completed.
Districts will compete in different stations like archery, orienteering, and campfire building—being sure to stay out of the way of those Tracker Jackers! We’ll finish our day with a movie-inspired feast of District One proportions and a cupcake decorating contest, in honor of Peeta, to be judged by Effie herself!

Cost is $20 per girl for an afternoon of fun, dinner, and a patch (Cookie Program Credit can be used). Girls should wear running shoes and clothes suitable for fall weather! In keeping with The Hunger Games theme, girls are encouraged to bring food to donate to our local food bank.
