Behind the Scenes Series

During this series, girls go behind the scenes to explore their interests and expertise. Shadow women in a variety of fields and see what it is like to be a college student. Visit the Sustainable Business Center to learn about youth entrepreneurship and how you can express your passions and skills. There is something for everyone during this four-week series. Girls will complete different hands-on activities as they visit a different business center each week.

During this series, girls will get to play games and talk with college students to find out what it is like to pursue your passions in college. Participants will also get to interview city council members about how to make the community better, cook up tasty recipes at Q’s Café, visit a professional photo studio to learn about taking better pictures on your cellphone or digital camera and more. Girls will get to take personality quizzes and showcase their own special skills, too!

Cost of the series includes a large snack each night and program supplies that girls get to take home such as journals, t-shirts and buttons! Girls who register and attend will also be entered in a drawing for a $10 iTunes gift card.

Sessions will be held on Feb. 25 and March 4, 11 and 18. Register online.
