Program Aide Award
The Program Aide Award can be earned by Girl Scout Cadettes who complete the following steps.
- Earn at least one LiA award.
- Complete the council-approved Program Aide training course.
- Work directly with younger girls over six activity sessions. This might be assisting girls on Journey activities (in addition to what she did for her LiA), badge activities, or other sessions. She might work with a group at their meetings, day camp or during a special council event.
Program Aide Training
Program Aide training provides the tools, knowledge and skills to work with younger girls and to assist at program events, day camps and troop meetings.
We have a new Program Aide training program developed from revision recommendations from our national organization, Girl Scouts of USA and our Program Aide volunteer committee. If you are interested in becoming a Program Aide trainer or are a Program Aide trainer, please email MentoringAwards@GirlScoutsToday.org for our new Program Aide training.
You can find upcoming trainings in your area by using the online calendar.
