Online Magazine
Visit the online magazine site (link available only during sale).
Create an account and follow the instructions to send emails to customers.
An email will be sent to the addresses chosen asking them to purchase magazines. If a purchase isn’t made, two follow up emails will be sent at one-week intervals reminding customers that there is still time to make a purchase.
Customers order magazines through the online site and pay QSP directly via credit card.
At the end of the sale, an email will be sent to the girl reminding her to print a copy of her detailed order report.
Girls must submit a detailed order report to their troop product manager or troop leader by the deadline to receive credit for these sales and to earn the online patch for entering 12 or more emails.
Orders received after November 14 will be processed but cannot be counted towards girls total sales, recognitions or troop proceeds.
Nut Promise
A Nut Promise is a way for customers to place a nut/candy order with you electronically.
When a girl sets up her online email program she can choose to offer nut and candy items to customers. She can select all of her email contacts to receive the offer, or just a few. Customers can place a nut order online in the form of a Nut Promise. Once a Nut Promise is placed by a customer, the Girl Scout will need to follow up to collect for the order and deliver the products.
Here is how it works:
Visit the online site (link available only during sale).
At the same time that you send emails to family and friends for magazines you can invite your customers to make a Nut Promise order.
Girls can select which email contacts will receive the Nut Promise offer.
Girls need to confirm Nut Promise orders with the customer, deliver the products and collect money.
Unlike online magazine orders, money will not be collected online and products will not be shipped for Nut Promise orders.
Nut Promise orders and magazine orders will appear on your detailed order report.
Write Nut Promise orders on your order card from your online detailed order report and turn into your troop product manager or troop leader.
Online orders count toward troop profit and girl recognitions if submitted and turned in by November 14.
Dates to remember
October 18 – Online Magazine/Nut Promise program opens
November 1 – Order taking begins
November 14 – Order taking ends, orders due to troop (paper magazine order forms and payments, detailed order report from any online magazine/nut promise sales & nuts/candy order cards)
November 16 – Troop orders due in NutE by 11 p.m.
November 17 – Paper magazine order forms due from troop to service unit product manager
December 3-5 – Service unit deliveries
December 5 – 17 – Girls deliver products and collect money
December 17 – Money due to troop
December 20 – ACH withdrawal of troop payment
