CPR and First Aid

The Safety Activity Checkpoints states when a first-aider must be present for Girl Scout activities. A first-aider is an adult volunteer who has completed Girl Scout-approved first aid and CPR training that includes specific instructions for child CPR.

Training in first aid and CPR is available from the American Red Cross, National Safety Council, EMP America or American Heart Association. Contact your local agency for a schedule of their classes. If you would like to request training for your service unit, contact AdultLearning@GirlScoutsToday.org.

We partnered with the American Red Cross and receive a 20% discount on all trainings the American Red Cross offers. Use coupon code: GSUSAEASTERNIAWESTERNIL0914 when registering for trainings on their website, www.RedCross.org.
