Girl Scout Leader’s Day: April 22
This Girl Scout Leader’s Day honors all the volunteers who work as leaders and mentors in partnership with girls. It gives girls, their families and communities the opportunity to thank their adult Girl Scout volunteers in a very special way.
A Thank You from Girl Scout Staff
Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois staff get in on the fun of honoring troop leaders too!
Stop by your nearest retail shop on Leader’s Day for refreshments, and me time. You could also win fantastic prizes!
What You Can Do
Send your leader a message to let her know how great she is and to thank her for all of the things she has done for your troop.
Leader’s Day ecards – Send an ecard to your leader. Or, send a card via snail mail. Either way, your leader will love hearing from you!
Leader’s Day video – Take a video of you and the girls in your troop sending a message of thanks to your leader. It could be a song, a skit or just some creative way to let her know how much you all care. Then, email it to us! We will post it on our Facebook page.
Thank you party – Get your troop together and plan a surprise party for her.
Yard signs – Another great idea is to make yard signs to post in her yard that say “Best Girl Scout Leader EVER!”
